How to find a post idea in 10 minutes (2026)

Updated August 25, 2026

Most founders do not lack ideas. They lack a timer. This is a 10-minute loop you can run before standup — no mood board, no “inspiration,” no endless scrolling.

The 10-minute loop

0–2 min — Pick one lens

Choose exactly one: customer pain, build-in-public update, lesson from a failure, myth you want to kill, or a sharp question to your niche. Write the lens in one line. If you pick two, you already failed the timer.

2–5 min — Mine inputs

Open one source only: last customer call notes, a support ticket, a competitor post that annoyed you, your own shipped changelog, or a narrow X search in your niche. Copy three raw phrases — not polished tweets.

5–8 min — Force the angle

Fill this template: Hook (one concrete claim) + Proof (one detail only you have) + Ask (question or soft CTA). If the hook could belong to any SaaS account, rewrite it until it could not.

8–10 min — Draft or brief an agent

Write the rough post yourself, or paste the brief into an AI agent (easyscale Agent works for this). Either way: you edit voice and you approve before publish. The timer ends when you have a draft, not when it is perfect.

Example (B2B founder, 10 minutes)

Lens: customer pain

Raw notes: “We lost two trials because onboarding asked for a password to X.” / “They already have OAuth elsewhere.” / “Safety objection killed the close.”

Hook: “If your X tool asks for a password in 2026, that is not a feature — it is a churn event.”

Proof: two lost trials last week after the password screen.

Ask: “What is the dumbest permission a tool has asked you for?”

Mistakes that burn the 10 minutes

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a tool for this?

No. A notes app works. Tools help when you want the brief turned into a scheduled draft with your context — that is optional.

What if I still blank?

Shrink the lens: post the single most specific sentence from a customer message. Specific beats clever.
